Just a 45-minute flight north of Auckland is the stunning Bay of Islands, one of NZ’s top tourist drawcards. With its unspoiled coastline, beautiful sandy beaches, turquoise waters and 144 untouched islands, this region enjoys a subtropical climate, and so you can expect warm weather year round.The Bay of Islands Maritime Park is one of New Zealand’s best loved destinations, offering world-class diving and snorkeling, with an array of wildlife including, dolphins, whales, penguins and gannets. It also has great sailing, kayaking and big-game fishing. Not only is the region blessed with stunning natural beauty, it has enormous historical significance, as the site of New Zealand’s first permanent British settlement and the birthplace of European colonization in the country.

Kauri Cliffs is a stunningly beautiful 5,400-acre estate, set on a remote plateau, high above the Pacific Ocean. GOLF - Kauri Cliffs Golf Course (Unlimited play for two days)

Designed by the late David Harman, Kauri Cliffs is a par 72 championship course that was rated by Golf Digest (2014) as the 39th best course in the world. The first of two stunning golf courses from American native Julian H. Robertson, Kauri Cliffs holds a magnificent position, perched on a tabletop. Fifteen of the holes overlook the Pacific Ocean and having stunning views of the Cavalli Islands and the rugged yet gorgeous coastline of the Far North.



Waipoua Forest and Cape Reinga Heli Tour

Depart your Bay of Islands accommodation property or central Paihia for your 30 minute (approx) helicopter flight across to Omapere where you will be met by your Footprints Waipoua guide. Footprints is operated by local Maori on Northlands rugged West Coast. Let Kupe’s (NZ’s first discoverer) descendants take you on a guided walk of the largest kauri forest in the world and introduce you to their relationship with Mother Nature, both spiritually and culturally. A highlight of your experience with Footprints will be an introduction to Tane Mahuta – God of the Forest. (Forest Tour duration approx. 1.5 hours).


From Omapere you continue to the Cape Reinga region via Northlands spectacular West Coast and of course the famous Ninety Mile Beach.



Historical and Cultural Tour of the Bay of Islands

This experience takes in some of the most historic and culturally significant locations in New Zealand. Enjoy a half or full day private tour of the Bay of Islands, including historic sights at Waitangi, Paihia, Russell, Kerikeri, and Waimate North. You will be accompanied by our driver/tour guide who is well versed in local history. A cultural performance at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds can also be arranged as an add-on to your experience, as well as lunch at the Duke of Marlborough in Russell.






Tane Mahuta - Waipoua Forest Tour

This tour takes you to the Kauri Coast and the Hokianga Harbor on the West Coast of New Zealand. The scenery on this side of the island is rugged in its beauty, with wild, ever-changing seas. On arrival, your guide will take you into the Waipoua Forest, to see Tane Mahuta – at 2000-years-old, the oldest and largest Kauri tree on earth. This private tour includes a personal driver, and lunch can be arranged at the Copthorne Hotel in Omapere.





Fishing in the Bay of Islands

When residing in the Bay of Islands you are on the doorstep of fishing heaven. This experience can be tailored to all fishing types. Whether you are in search of big game such as Blue Marlin, Kingfish or Tuna; or willing just to shelter yourself into islands and go after kiwis favourite a New Zealand Snapper. We have one of New Zealand's best fishing guides, Bevan Beauchamp to help you catch a number of target species.  






Sailing in the Bay of Islands

Departing from the Kerikeri Inlet, this memorable excursion will introduce you to some of the 144 islands that are dotted around this tropical paradise. On your relaxing journey around the islands you will also witness a large array of marine life, including dolphins. This is a half-day tour and includes a gourmet, buffet-style lunch of local seafood.

ACCOMMODATION - One night at Tara Iti in a members cottage (Please note that due to Tara Iti policies, payment for this part of the trip - accommodation, golf and incidentals - will be payable direct by you on check out and thus is not included in the trip cost. Accommodation, golf and caddie will be NZD $1900.00 per person)

Situated just 1 hour north of New Zealand's largest city Auckland, Tara Iti was the brainchild of american investor Rick Kayne. The accommodation surrounds the golf course, and is designed by the renowned group; Cheshire Architects. Each cottage is a highly futuristic structure design, with glazed walls and two internal pod structures.

GOLF - Tara Iti Golf Course (see notes above re payment in red)

Located just 90-minutes' drive north of Auckland is New Zealand’s newest and most talked about golf course – Tara Iti. In a past life, the site was a pine-covered desert by the sea, but after Tom Doak’s (course architect) contouring of the sandy soil and clearing of pine forest, Tara Iti is a now a wonderful golfing experience, playing among hummocks, punchbowls and sand dunes that appear as though they were formed by wind and cultivated by nature.



Horse Trek and Oyster Tasting

This tour travels to the top of the ridge continuing past the Maori Pa site. The horses take a break at the promontory before heading past Circular Bay, Whites Bay, Little Bay and Sandy Bay to the end of the peninsula. From the promontory they take in the expansive views above Passage Rock’s Three Sisters come down to Te Matuku Bay past the World Famous Te Matuku Bay Oyster Farm following the coast road back to base.




An hour’s flight southeast of Auckland is Hawke’s Bay, a region of diverse and magnificent landscapes, from mountains and hill country down to inland and coastal plains. Blessed with fertile, alluvial soils and a warm temperate climate, Hawke’s Bay is home to hundreds of farms, orchards and vineyards, making it New Zealand’s agricultural powerhouse. For the tens of thousands of visitors that flock to the region each year, it’s the food and wine that are the biggest drawcards, and with good reason, as the Hawkes Bay produces some of the best of both the country has to offer. On the coast, sits the town of Napier, one of New Zealand’s busiest commercial ports and host to a growing number of cruise ships. It’s also the country’s Art Deco capital, having been almost completely rebuilt in the Style Moderne after a devastating earthquake in 1931.

Set atop 6,000 rolling acres of stunning pastureland, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers affords spectacular 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean. GOLF - Cape Kidnappers Golf Course (Unlimited play on two days)

Hailed as one of the great modern marvels in golf, Cape Kidnappers features eighteen spectacular holes of golf. Designed by world-renowned golf architect Tom Doak, the course is built on a ridge-and-valley landscape and has stunning sea views, playing high above the ocean, atop dramatic cliffs. The course has received numerous accolades and awards including its current ranking among the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World.


GOLF - Kinloch Club (optional at NZD $350.00 per person)

Kinloch is the first course in New Zealand to have the great Jack Nicklaus as its course architect. Located amongst a mix of farmland and volcanic terrain, and overlooking the magnificent Lake Taupo, the course resembles something you would envisage out of the great Irish and Scottish links courses. In Kinloch, Nicklaus has crafted something very special, and we are thankful he graced us with his presence.




Lunch and Private Wine Tour of Craggy Range Winery

Enjoy a personal tour around Craggy Range, one of New Zealand’s most respected wineries and producer of some of the best wine in the country. Its restaurant, Terrôir, is inspired by the classic French-country dining experience; one that is relaxed and whose menu is designed around the concept of sharing. The food is all locally-sourced, and seasonal produce is gathered from vineyard’s gardens. Paired with Craggy Range wines, this is a dining experience not to be missed.





Cape Sanctuary Nature Experience

After a short walk along Trigg Road, you will arrive at the Aviary at Cape Sanctuary, where special breeding programmes mean rare, native birds now thrive here. Learn about the Cape Sanctuary; a haven for protected native birds and animals, including the iconic North Island brown kiwi, the kaka and kakariki parrots and the prehistoric tuatara - known as New Zealand's dinosaur.






Tour of the Farm Vegetable Gardens

Experience the properties spectacular vegetable garden with an informative tour. Hawke's Bay is widely known as the fruit bowl of New Zealand, and with its abundance of vegetables, berries and herbs, our vegetable garden fits that description perfectly. Fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables are key to our daily changing menus, and this is your chance to learn more about the fresh produce featured by our chefs.





Can-Am or Four Wheel Drive Property Farm Tour

The sheer expanse of our property is hidden to many unless they take the Can-Am Tour. Inaccessible to a regular vehicle, this excursion will take you to the furthermost reaches of the property with views south towards Ocean Beach and Bare Island. With an experienced guide, you will be taken through the old creek bed, across expansive farmland and down to historic Rangaika Beach. This tour is ideal for all age groups and fitness levels. For the less adventurous the team can provide you with a four-wheel drive experience of the property.






The Southern Hemisphere plays host to a magnificent array of stars and constellations and Cape Kidnappers’ rural, coastal vantage point makes it perfect for stargazing. Enjoy an evening under the stars as astronomer Gary Sparks guides you through our skies in this fantastic experience.


About two-thirds of the way down the South Island, in the middle of the Sourthen Alps, sits Lake Wakatipu, and on its shores, Queenstown. If ever a town deserves its reputation as the world’s adrenalin capital, surely this place does. You can bungee jump off bridges, or even out of a helicopter, take a jet boat ride through white-water canyons, heli-skiing in virgin powder snow, go extreme mountain biking, zip-line through valleys, and paraglide off mountains – you name, you can do it in Queenstown. There is, however, a more gentile side to Queenstown – one that includes luxurious, world-class lodges, superb wineries, great restaurants and scenery to die for… and five international-standard golf courses. This picturesque lakeside town has it in spades, whatever the season, whatever the activity. It absolutely must be part of any itinerary when visiting New Zealand.

GOLF - The Hills Golf Course

The Hills was designed by Darby Partners, and opened in 2007 to host the NZ Open. Set in over 500 acres of land, across a glacial valley, the layout highlights the dramatic elevation changes and rocky schist outcrops that are a feature of the area. This championship course provides a serious challenge for accomplished players, while thoughtful and considerate design means it is equally enjoyable for golfers of all abilities. The beauty of the courses lakes, waterways and wetland areas are complimented by a stunning array of sculptures made by local and international artists.




Milford Sound and Fiordland Highlights/Over the Top Golf

Described by Rudyard Kipling as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, this experience is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. View glaciers, alpine lakes, rivers, forests, glacial valleys and ice-capped mountains. Fly over the fjords, and land on a remote West Coast beach, then stop off at an alpine glacier. Board the historic TSS Earnslaw Vintage Steamship for a spectacular cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak. This unique experience is exciting and provides a fun, low impact activity in peaceful and stunning surroundings. Your guide will also update you on award-winning conservation efforts to remove the invasive wilding pine trees, replacing them with pockets of native plant and bush. Return back to the farm after riding the flat natural terraces overlooking the lake, soaking in the stunning alpine scenery.




4WD Farm Expedition

We offer two transport options for our Farm 4WD Experience – a Luxury 4WD Land Rover, or the 'Thrill Ride' option in Polaris Buggies, for those who are up for a bit of adventure. You will have exclusive use of this authentic NZ high-country station for the whole day. Try your hand at some lake fishing or gold mining, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. Domestic flights allow two bags per traveller with a maximum weight allowance of 23kg per bag for checked baggage

(including golf clubs) and 7kg per person for hand luggage. Baggage and personal effects are taken at owner’s risk

throughout the tour, and baggage insurance is strongly recommended. Please consult your international air carrier

for its specific restrictions regarding weight limits and baggage allowance.




Once a booking is confirmed then a 30% deposit is due. Final payment is due 120 days prior to arrival. Cancellations must be

received by St Andrews Golf Travel in writing. All deposits are non refundable or transferrable so we strongly recommend that

take our suitable travel insurance to cover you in the event you are unable to travel




It is advisable that all participants take out comprehensive travel, medical, cancellation, curtailment and default insurance

for the duration of the trip. Due to the remote and wild areas that will be visited, it is vital that all participants are covered

for emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances. St Andrews Golf Travel will not be held responsible for participants

travelling without insurance.




New Zealand's rural-based economy requires strict bio-security, so it is important for golfers to enter the country with

clean golf shoes and clean golf clubs. Anyone arriving with golf clubs and/or golf shoes will be diverted to quarantine

inspection upon arrival in New Zealand. With clean shoes, clubs, and golf bags/travel covers, the inspection time should

simply be a matter of minutes. For golfers with traces of dirt or grass, bio-security staff may clean the items and fines may be

imposed on the spot. To ensure a speedy entrance, ensure that clubs, shoes, golf bags, and travel covers are free from dirt and
