If you thought St Andrews was just about golf, think again! Yes, there are 11 great courses in and around the town, but many of our clients also like to learn about the history St Andrews has to offer. Golfers can enjoy the historic buildings, the spectacular beaches, the fascinating museums, and a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Below are a few examples of the non golf activities we can build into your golf vacation
St Andrews Cathedral - A “must-see” for every visitor to St Andrews, the Cathedral’s ruins are truly spectacular. The thousands of medieval pilgrims who travelled on foot to St Andrews must have regarded the 11th and 12th Century structure with absolute awe.
St Andrews Castle has been by turns a fortress, palace and prison. The Castle is largely ruined, battered from centuries of wars, sieges and high tides, but remains a fascinating visit on any trip to St Andrews
British Golf Museum - The British Golf Museum is located opposite the clubhouse of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. Exhibits include historic equipment, memorabilia and art work, documentation, the history of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, and the rules and terminology of the game
Kingsbarns Distillery - Conveniently located close to the home of golf, St Andrews, the Kingsbarns Distillery and Visitor Centre sits in a charming 18th century farm steading and features an exhibition, distillery tours, whisky tastings, shop and cafe
