DAY 2          GOLF - Pearl Valley Golf Course

The masterplan was shaped by the vision of golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his unique touch is evident throughout the course at Pearl Valley Golf Estates. Nicklaus, who was recently named ‘the most influential man in golf’ in a prominent international golf magazine, has used his wealth of knowledge and experience in the game to develop a truly stunning golf course.

Every hole is played against the spectacular backdrop of the mountains surrounding the estate and all are challenging due to the startegically set bunkers and fast greens. The prevailing winds throughout the area have also been taken into consideration with the course design; the winter being northwesterly and the summer wind from a southeasterly direction. All par 3s and par 5s play in different directions, ensuring that the same conditions are seldom experienced during a round.

DAY 3           GOLF - Erinvale Golf Course

The Gary Player designed, Erinvale Golf Course is without a doubt one of the best Golf Courses in South Africa. Surrounded by the majestic Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountains. It offers two very distinctly different nines. The first nine winds its way through narrow fairways flanked by exquisite properties, blending in perfectly with the landscape and environment. The second nine flows beautifully into the foot of the Helderberg’s and eventually offers the most rewarding and magnificent sweeping views over False Bay, surrounding vineyards, olive groves and Helderberg Nature Reserve

Hop on, Hop off Red City Tour (optional extra)

The Red City Tour is our flagship tour in Cape Town. It provides the easiest and most convenient way to visit the Table Mountain Cableway and it offers a great introduction to Cape Town’s City Bowl, as well as Camps Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard. There are 11 bus stops, hop on and off as you like. The total tour duration (with no hop offs) is approximately 90 minutes. Skip the ticket queue at the Table Mountain Cableway (stop 7) and buy your Cableway ticket at one of our tour offices or on the red bus. A red bus ticket allows you to hop on and hop off on all our tours so you can start your double-decker experience at any of our stops. Tickets can be bought at our tour offices (stop 1 and stop 5), online at a discounted rate, or from the bus driver.

Table Mountain Cableway (optional extra)

A trip up Table Mountain is quite rightly one of the first things a tourist wants to do when arriving in Cape Town. Once on the top, a 1000m above the city below, you are rewarded with spectacular 360 views. Take your time and enjoy this unique environment, go for a walk or have a bit to eat at the restaurant with arguably one of the best views possible.

PAARL (included in trip - Wine & Chocolate Tasting )

Situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Paarl boasts an array of cultural and historical attractions and is surrounded by some spectacular nature reserves. Paarl was named after the huge granite dome of rock, which overlooks the town founded in 1690. The famous 11-kilometre-long Main Street features the Strooidak Church, Die Oude Pastorie Museum and the Patriot Building. The beautiful homestead of Labories in Main Street was bought by KWV. The KWV cellar complex is the largest in the world, covering an area of 22 hectares. The magnificent Cathedral Cellar, with its barrel-vaulted roof and large carved red wine vats is spectacular and depicts the history of the Cape’s wine industry. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of activities including: wine tasting, scenic fynbos hikes, cycling, sampling local cuisine and much more.

The Spice Route Winery (included in trip)

Five centuries ago the ancient mariners braved uncharted seas to round the Cape in search of exotic spices. Their nerve and dash inspired Charles Back to found the Spice Route Winery in 1997. Charles had bought the farm Klein Amoskuil, and this Malmesbury based farm is now home to Spice Route's Swartland terroir styled wines. The Spice Route Winery has found its signature wine style in the warm rolling hills along the Cape West Coast. Matching traditional practices in the vineyards with modern, minimalist approaches in the cellar, they produce exceptionally ripe and deep-flavoured wines. The deep red soils sustain unirrigated bush vine through the long warm summers. These harsh conditions are tempered by cool Atlantic breezes rolling in overnight. In its few years since inception had a stratospheric climb into the top echelons of the South African wine industry.

Ernie Els Winery (included in trip)

Explore the wonderful and fascinating world of wine as seen and enjoyed by South African golfer Ernie Els. Through his many travels around the globe Ernie has been exposed to and appreciated some of the world’s greatest wines and in 1999 decided to pursue his developed passion for fine wine with the creation of Ernie Els Wines. As one of South Africa's leading ambassadors and one of the most recognizable faces in the world of sport, it is befitting that Ernie chose Stellenbosch to produce his wines. Since the concept of Ernie Els Wines was born he produced with the help of award-winning winemaker Louis Strydom, the maiden, 2000 vintage of Ernie Els - a 'classic' Bordeaux blend.
